C.H.A.N.C.E. for Nepal (Children’s Health and Nutrition, Care and Education) is a charity that was founded by Barbara Datson in 2006 with the explicit aim of improving the lives of children who are sick and under-privileged in Nepal.
C.H.A.N.C.E also have an educational sponsorship programme at three schools in the Kathmandu Valley where children are admitted irrespective of their age, caste, creed, or religion. These three schools open their doors to the disadvantaged and oppressed in the local community, as well as to many street children. Many of the children they have helped have been abandoned or their family circumstances are such that they are safer in a boarding environment.
